I have fair skin, but with an olive undertone. I also have really dark and thick hair due to my heritage. Because of these factors (and maybe many more) my armpits are darker. It annoys me a lot, because it can look as though I haven't shaved. Do any of you guys have dark armpits and what do you do to make them seem less dark?

I can totally understand your problem :) I have dark hair and light skin too and I noticed what you are talking about. Try waxing your armpits so you don't shave which irritates the skin and makes it darker. Also, exfoliate the skin, but once again don't overdo it. Also, I've heard that dive has a deoderant that helps dark armpits. I think it's called clear tone or something. I liked the scent and it makes my skin smoother. Hope this helped :)

I really should try waxing. Ugh, just don't know if I have the patience to wait for it to grow out. But I will definitely exfoliate. I live in Denmark, and I don't think we have that deodorant brand. Do you if there's any special ingredients in it that does the trick?

You could try lemon juice, but be sure to moisturize afterwards because it dries your skin. Try vitamin E or Shea based products because it lightens marks and evens out. I dont know how that interacts with deoderant , so you might want to do that at night :)

Dove has a new deodorant called ClearTones. It lightens your armpits. I have the same prob. If Im dancing in a photo with my arms up I hate it. I will be posting a review on my blog darlingofdazzle.blogspot if you want to wait and see the results.

The dove deodorant works! I love it. I've used it for about 2 months and I can definitely tell the difference.

I have the same problem and its also the reason I hate any form of sleeveless tops. A couple weeks ago I ran out of deodorant and my mom told me to just cut a lemon in half and put the juice on my armpits to neutralize odor and it works! She also told me if I keep using it it'll lighten my underarms which it has and mine are really dark. It's not overnight but it really does help :) I tried the Dove deodorant and it seriously irritated my underarms and the lemon juice doesn't. I also use lime juice and just some regular sugar to exfoliate and that makes my underarms so soft and smooth :) Hope this helps!

Try using an epilator instead of shaving! Also be sure to thourougly clean and exfoliate your underarms every time you shower! Rubbing half a lime or lemon helps too n___n Some places sell whitening deodorant, but I'm not sure how well that works.. Best of luck!
