Try using a toner before moisturizer and before putting makeup on, it's supposed to make your pores smaller and it makes your skin feel really soft, I use the Nivea one:)

Hi Bri-Bri (cute name!)
You can't actually "shrink" your pores. They're nothing but small openings in the skin -- because they don't have muscles, they can't open or close. So although you can't physically change the structure of your pores by making them smaller, there are things that you can do to minimize their appearance.
Large pores are caused by a variety of factors, and if you know what they are, it can be easier to decide what treatment options will be helpful to you. There are also some makeup tips and tricks you can incorporate into your routine to make pores look smaller and less noticeable.
First off, if your pores are large around the nose area as you describe, it's likely a result of an overproduction of oil and sebum inside the pores. Using a deep cleanser that is non stripping of your natural oils will assist in this. Korres has a great Pomegranate Cleanser and Toner which is great for deep cleaning and balancing for the skin. The wipes are also handy for those nights when you're too tied (as I personally can be) to make it to the sink at night.
If your skin is in fact dry, it could be that the dead skin cells are actually penetrating into the pores and making them expand. Using a Clarisonic brush for deep cleansing will make your moisturizers penetrate deeper to the dermal layer and using an exfoliating mask such as the Glam Glow (my new favorite product right now) will help exfoliate without over exfoliating and pulling at the pores.
Cosmetics wise - use a primer under your makeup such as the Embryolisse Lait Creme which is tested by French chemists and dermatologists and will not clog your pores as many silicone or dimithicone primers will - despite their efficacy in hiding the appearance of larger pores. Another MUA trick is to use a large synthetic foundation brush and "push" in translucent silica powder like the MUFE HD Powder or rms Beauty Un-Powder which is in my opinion the most effective way to hide pores.
I hope that helps!

As far as skincare, I think the clarisonic shrinks pores, and for makeup I like the Clinique perfectly pore less (I think that's what it's called)

When you wash your face, use warm/hot water because that will open up the pours. After you apply a toner, try putting on a cold compact on the parts with big pores. The cold will supposedly shrink the pores :) good luck!
