So I don't have my license but I think this is a good piece of advice: Be sure to research your schools thoroughly and think about how much you enjoy applying makeup. Practice on other people and think if you could do that for hours at a time... also commuting is a must as a makeup artist. If you won't travel then I wouldn't recommend going into this profession. :)

I agree with Dani! Any chance you get pick up makeup!! And practice on as many people as you can with as many different looks! Takes pictures of EVERYTHING and start building your portfolio!
