I have a few mac lipsticks, but I want to add a few more to my mini collection. My skintone is NC40. I wear a lot of pastels and black, clothing wise, if that makes a difference. Any ideas as to which colors would suit me?! Lipliners also! I bought my first MAC lipliner in burgundy to wear with viva glam 1.

Looking through your photos, I think most lip colors would look nice and suite you well. And then if you're at a MAC store and are still not sure, you can always pick out whatever colors you like and ask an employee to try it on you or just ask for her opinion.
Before I say anything else, I believe everyone should have a few good nudes in their collection! Creme d' Nude and Myth are awesome ones. I think pinky nudes would look great on you as well. Blankety, Creme Cup and Peachstock are beautiful.
And some colors that I think would look particularly nice on you are Girl About Town (hot pink) Milan Mode (hot pink leaning on the fuschia side) Pink Nouveau (a pretty bright pink) and Unlimited (a pro longwear, a dirty rose color.)

I think a peachy colour would go well with the pastels you wear! I have a mac lippy called shygirl which is a pale peach and pretty much goes with everything! It's not too much but just enough! Xx

If you don't have a good red, get one. Since you're an NC like me, I'll recommend Ruby Woo. It is the ultimate matte red lipstick. That and a little black liquid liner= instant femme fatale!

Thanks ladies! I'll have to definitely try creme cup and angel! Possibly a light pink lipliner.. the lipstick never seems to stay on too long. Kelly G. I got viva glam 1 (which is a dark red) and a lighter shade, russian red. I'm not too crazy about either, it's gonna take a lot for me to wear red lipstick, it's scary! lol But i'll try Ruby woo out! Dont buy snob, creme d'nude, myth. Never gonna work with your slintone. Angel didnt work for me. Creme cup? Love it. Plink is a great color. Shy girl with boy bait or bait gloss.

lol thanks for lettin me know. i was extremely hesitant about those colors. I did buy Angel though and i liked it. I have please me, and it was sorta similar, but i'll have to try creme cup and plink next. I also bought MAC hip n' happy lipliner? i think thats what it was called.
