I recently saw a tutorial about highlighting and the girl used a concealer a few shades lighter than her. I tried the same thing and it was WAAAY too light. Any suggestions?

I don't suggest using the light concealer as highlight for your cheekbones. Used on the browbone is okay, like your photo, the browbone area isn't awful!

For cheek and face highlighter, get a good highlighting powder. The point of highlighting isn't to make your face whiter, it's to catch the light and appear more forward that way. A highlighting powder won't make your skin white, but will catch any light and make the feature shine and glow. :)

Thanks! It won't hurt to try it.

Try it one shade darker then it is right now! But I only highlight and contour when it's a special occasion because its always very dramatic and too much for every day, you're gorgeous by the way!

I like theBalm's Mary Lou-minizer, or Wet n Wild's Reserve Your Cabana which is way cheaper, like $3. TheBalm is about $25 :)

Wet n Wild swatched here:

Oops I meant I only highlight and contour with concealer**** when it's special occasion.

Use an illuminator on the bridge of your nose, tips of your cheek bones, chin, browbone and middle of your forehead :)
