How to remove gel polish at home?

I've tried Acetone and for me it doesn't seem to do much other than dry out the skin around the nail.. What can I do? I need them off before my interview on Wednesday.

Soap a cotton ball in pure acetone, place one on every nail, wrap foil around every finger and let it sit for however long

You need to gently buff the top layer and then soak

You can get acetone from you local chemist or drug store! But you usually have to ask over the counter because sometimes they don't stock it on the shelvs! Not sure why though haha x
