i was wondering if anyone has ever had sewn in hair extensions. im going to be getting a partial done (just 3 rows) this week and read some people say that it can make you bald! now im scared! i reallly want them done for my vacation since my hair is short thin and frizzy.. im only leaving it in for a month. do you think ill be fine?

your hair only falls out if they are left in too long, your hairs in extremely bad condition, they are sewn in too tight or not taken out right, you should be fine :)

I've had them done! I didn't lose any hair, so I think it's ok. But everyone is different!

You should be fine with a sew in. Most times peoples hair falls out because the hair is glued straight to your scalp. Also be careful when taking the hair out. Since its sewn in, you're going to have to cut the thread sewn through the braids. I would advise getting someone else to help you take it out or go back to the people who put it in for you. Don't wanna cut your own hair by accident.

You're totally fine. If you're going on vacation, I would say sewn in tracks are the smartest move for you since they feel the most secure. And since you know you'll be taking them out in a month anyway AND getting only three rows done, it's definitely no big deal. Your scalp might feel sore for the first few days, but you'll get used to it. Just have someone remove the thread and tracks for you when you decide to remove them. =)

Just remember to wear a bandana or something on your head when you sleep, or the extensions will loosen faster! =)

I wear sewn in hair extensions on a regular basis. I get 4 tracks in and have been doing so for over a year now. I have no problems but some people do. The key is maintenance!!! If you do plan to keep them, make sure you maintain them. No pulling or tugging at them when washing. I have a professional who does it for me and keeps my natural hair healthy as well. Get them, they're great!!! I never went back to my normal hair without tracks
