I would just get a regular curling wand.

Most clamps are removable.
The one with the brush is more suited for curling not straightening
I recommend the Helen of Troy curling iron from Sally's Beauty Supply

Like making the hair strqight is cqlled straightening.

The ones with the brush attachment are made to straighten then "bump"(curl inward) the ends.
