Yeah, you should put in your own style. Just find some cute decorations you like (can be new bookshelf, lamp, pictures, mirror or table), change colors in room (bed, curtains, walls, maybe carpet, etc...) and to get rid of all the stuff you don't need anymore! You know the kind of stuff stuck with you all the childhood... it will give you better feeling like to be open and ready for new things and new occasions in your life ;) Hope I help you a little :)
