When I use to flat iron my hair I would apply Phyto Relaxing Balm on my hair in sections while my hair was wet prior to blow drying and straightening. My hair loved it and when I wanted to go curly it took on a curly wavy look minus crazy frizz. Took about to washes to get my tight curls again but at least my hair didn't feel like straw afterwards. It add a nice gloss I used the finishing gloss from the Phyto line as well. I believe the balm goes for $28 bucks now and you can find the line at Sephora. What I liked most about it is that it contains botanicals and moisturizers. Not a whole bunch of junk. At Sephora they are willing to give you samples to take home if you're not ready to make a full investment. Its a great line for us naturals. ;)

Thanks ladies! Right now all I've been using is pressing oil and its nice at first but after a couple hrs its all frizzy again :-( so frustrating lol.

Ahhh...pressing oil contains petroleum hence the frizzes you get. I would leave that one alone as its not adding or retaining vital moisture in your hair. Eventually it will make your hair feel and look brittle.

Shelley, your hair is gorgeous! By the way, what's your curly hair routine and pattern? I think I'm like a 3b 3c somewhere in there.

Thank you Kiera E. ;) I keep my curly mane routine pretty simple as I like wearing my hair big and full...if its loaded down with heavy stuff then I don't get that effect. Currently for my wash n go's I use As I Am Coconut Cowash followed by As I Am Leave In Conditioner applied in sections. Then I apply Camille Rose Aloe Whipped Butter Gel (also applied in sections). Then on my ends I use Camille Rose Curlaide Moisture Butter. Last but not least I seal it all in with a very light application of coconut oil. This gives me about 4 days of great looking curls with frizz. To refresh the curls I use this liquid spray mix that my husband made for me. Something he's testing on me but I have no clue what's in it. All I know is that it adds nice shine without silcones. I also follow pineapple method when I put it up at night. As far as curl pattern...its truly a mixed bag of patterns going on. All in the 3 range.

Thanks Shelley! Ill have to check out some of those products for sure! For me its just seeming like the longer it gets the harder it is to manage and I do have like one section on the top middle part of my head that is a looser curl pattern that just does not want to follow the rest of my hair. Its so annoying! I've threatened to just cut it off so many times because I'm getting so frustrated lol. So hopefully I can make this work!!
