One of my friends is a cosmotologist, and she says that if your skin is oily, you should treat it with a moisturizing face mask, because the pH of your skin is probably off (and if it were more dry, you'd use the opposite). Hope this helps!

Make sure you're moisturizing. When your face is oily it's producing that much oils to make up for the lack of moisture in your face. As far as your makeup and stuff make sure the items you're using are oil free.

I have the same problem, I always use an oil control moisturizer underneath my makeup and then I finish with a light layer of powder and that always helps me(:

Use oil free faces wash/scrub and use an oily free moisturizer. And if your face gets oily during the day, carry around some blotting papers (I think that's what they are called)

Personally I have super oily skin, I use rubbing alcohol and rub it on my face with a cotton pad at night and before I do my makeup in the morning. If your acne gets really bad ask your doctor about mino-cycline. I used to be covered in acne but now I have 100% clear skin.

DO NOT PUT ALCOHOL ON YOUR FACE! It can really dry it out and damage your face :(

Please DO NOT put alcohol on your face its going to mess up the ph balance and make you more oily. not to mention ruin your skin. buy skin care products made for oily or combination skin. check out Origins they have a whole line that helps w sebum production. be sure you moisturize, you could try using a toner as well. for makeup melt down use a primer before you apply your makeup or shine control product. paulas choice makes one called shine stopper its absolutely the best shine control product I've ever used.

Try to wash your face once a day at night in the morning just rinse w water. the PH in your skin may be off. if your using a product that is to harsh for your skin twice a day you actually stripping it of your natural oils and it could be over compensating for it making it more oily

If you frequently wash your face, it overcompensates with more oil production. Make sure not to wash more than twice a day. Buy some oil blotting sheets from the drugstore, they're in the face wash section. Also, try a clay mask that'll absorb excess oils.

If you eat chocolate or any oily foods lay low on it for a while. Use a clay mask it will absorb any oil on your skin. You can also try a mattifying primer, your pours may enlarge and get clogged causing pimple's, boils, ext..Use a mask, a daily detox like kate summerville, that will keep pours under control then some argon oil or some type of oil it will naturally regulate your oil production.

You can try urban decay de slick too I am a baker and I close and open a hot oven all day and this stops my face from getting insanely sweaty and nasty looking. You could put on before and after your foundation. And these other suggestions for night treatments sound like a good call too.
