Same problem here! I searched on forums and it seems that it has to be sharpened as you'd with a normal pencil. Strange though...

Are you sure there's a color pencil inside, because the other end is a spoolie ( a dry mascara wand) it's to comb and shape eyebrows before shaping or coloring them.

You would sharpen it just like any other pencil but I have to also mention this was one of the worst pencil products I tried the texture is way to waxy and if you have oily skin the finish will look to shiny and the color fades off.

Try the elf kit. The brush is perfect and it comes with a tinted wax/powder duo. I reach for it over any other brow product, surely over pencils! Good luck :)

The elf kit Maggie mentioned is great as well as NYC brow kit.I personally use Mac matte shadow cork for my brows with eye brow pencil to help shape by Laura mercier in the color brunette it is the perfect texture pencil without the waxy finish and has great staying power I highly recommend it :-)
