Hey girls!!
I'm just curious to see who does their own Brazilian or bikini wax? What kit or wax do you use?
And what part of the body do you find most painful to be waxed?

I do my own :) but I work in salon and wax people all day long so it's pretty easy for me lol takes me about 10 minutes to do everything :D

in saying that I don't really recommend doing it yourself :p soooo many girls come in and tell me what disasters they have trying to do it themselves lol

if your confident you can rip the wax off youself fast and hold the skin tight enough at same time go for it :) but can be a mission lol

I use professional salon wax not store brands you get a far better result :)

That's awesome Shannon I can't believe how quick you do it!!
Did it take you a while to get up the courage to do it yourself??
What brand is the pro one you use??
We have a few suppliers around here I can get to :)
I did waxing as part of my course at the start of the year and had to get my legs done by someone who had never done it before and WOW it killed hahah, kinda traumatized me a little but thought since I am waxing other people I could try and do myself. Maybe. See how I go. Hahaha
Hopefully I don't end up with a horror story to tell you!! Haha

Haha it took a bit of practice :p was a bit scary first time from what I remember :D the horrid oh no now I have to rip it off feeling lol but practice makes perfect!

I do at very least 40 braz's a week at work so I'm pretty quick lol most of my clients take 10 minutes or 15 to 20 if its there first time or have been shaving

for hard wax I use a brand by mancine cosmetics I'm in Australia but I'm pretty sure there in the states too its an ultra flex wax and is amazing!

I used aloe strip wax from them too :)

I really believe having good quality wax is the key! makes everything so much easier!

Oh gosh I bet!! I started it myself and got pretty far but just couldn't keep going so ill try again next time haha far out, that moment you're about to pull it off is terrible!!
Wow that's great, I'm still doing the rest of my training and we didn't learn brazillians in our waxing unit. Did you learn them as part of your training or separately??

I'm in aus too, where abouts do you live? Ok from Newcastle NSW. Ill head out and get that wax thank you heaps for the recommendation :)
Do you only ever use hot wax on yourself? Ever strip?

Aww thats no problem hun :) and oh cool! I have family in new castle well redhead! I'm from sydney but live up in townsville atm because my partner is in the army :)

haha you will get better on yourself it gets less painful and once you get quicker you will be fine :) I only have really use hard wax on my self because is lots easier to hold and pull :D some times I'll use a little strip up the top of my braz if the hairs are being stubborn :) I strip wax my own legs and arms and stuff thou :)

umm whatelse ohh no we didnt really learn brazilians when I studied we were supposed too but it's hard finding willing models :D I let the trainer demo on me to the other girls thou haha so we could get the idea :)

but really its once you get in salon and are in the deep end you learn what works best for you and ones you've got that routine it's easy!

are you doing any work experience with your course?

I can tell you the easiest and fastest way to do braz is get them to put both legs up and bent to the side kind of like frog leg lol and no underwear on :) then you can apply the wax in sections on both sides, it makes it a lot faster and I usually strip the top section inbetween the hard wax setting

I know when you study lots of trainers are all about covering the client up and keeping it private for them lol they don't care mostly they know why they are there, I always just get them talking it distracts them and makes them feel more comfortable :)

Really!! I live just near there in Charlestown :) wow that's awesome! Do you like living up there??

Hahah thank you!! I hope so :) the girls in my class were shocked when I told them the other day!! Thought I was nuts lol.
Wow you're a machine Shannon!! That's really great, I hope I can get up the courage to wax everything myself too!! I'm just over spendin a while shaving and then the next day I'm spiky again, makes me cranky lol so I should definitely do what you do and just do everywhere!!

We only learnt bikini and were just told to keep going in and in if someone wanted a Brazilian because they don't it at the place I'm studying anymore so ill probably try and just do a day class or something to get it right, I'd hate to get into a salon and asked to do one and not have done one before!!
