Why would you want to conform yourself to such a stupid trend? Do not say your style is "emo" or "scene" because first they are NOT the same thing. "Emo" is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It is not a style like most people think. "Emo" stands for emotional and that being said a girly girl in all pink could be "Emo". Thick black makeup, skinnies and band tees do not make one "Emo" and as for "scene" it is just a more colorful and childish version of a goth. The thing about both though is that they have a backbone and are ACTUALLY unique. My town is over run by "scene" swag kids who all look the same and act and dress overly loud and stupid for attention. Why can't people just stop trying to be someone that they clearly are NOT. If you have to ask how to look "scene" or "goth" you are not one. Style comes naturally. Be you and be true hun!

If you like a look or trend follow it. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. and maybe red lipstick and a thick eyeliner.

I love how people think I am rude when I am just speaking my mind and trying to help! In MY opinion "scene" and hipster are just worn out internet trends. I think it is stupid but that's just me...

Shannon, don't listen to these bitches! I think the scene/emo look is beautiful and you do NOT have to be "scene or emo" to wear the dark makeup. The style is very original and outgoing, and if that is how you want to look to express yourself, then do it...it's not a matter of if you really are emo or scene, because that is just a style, it's not a life path or anything. People need to back off and not get so offended. Love and support!

It's okay ignore the haters!! be who YOU want to be and do what YOU want to do because in the end, you are the only person who can critique yourself and have it actually matter, so if you feel good in heavy, dark makeup, do it...and if you feel good in light, colourful makeup, then it's all you girl!

I am sorry if I started something but some people need to dpi their research! "Emo" is a music and a way of life and NOT a style. "Emo" just means emotional. Scene, I agree IS a style but I just think that it is over done and NOT unique anymore because everyone seems to be doing it now away and it is not just a style. Find someone who looks scene and doesn't like cartoons and isn't a fan of All Time Low!
