I have never got a 'high end' foundation before and I was thinking of getting this one. What are its pro's and con's?

Love it! It covers everything and stats forever. It's easy to look cake faced though, so you only need like, a pea sized for your whole face pretty much! I'd advise sponge application.

I've never used Kat Von D, but Clinique has awesome foundations if you're little for something good to splurge on (:

It's really thick and it sets really fast. I can never get even coverage because of that. But it does really cover any thing. I just use it under my eyes to cover dark circles

It covers everything, but it's not very great for dry skin because it excentuates dry patches.

I love it soo much it was my first high end foundation I've have ever gotten. I personally think the only con is, is that it is a little pricey.

I have oily skin and it looks awful on me it makes my pores look HUGE and it dried some parts if my face out which I found really weird , but the coverage is amazing

It definitely does set extremely fast. You need to blend quickly. The coverage is probably the best I've ever seen, but if you're not careful, it can almost look "too" perfect if that makes sense? Or it can look cakey. I second Clinique foundation. Some of them are a little cheaper than the Kat Von D too.

What I mean by too perfect, is that it can look VERY obvious that you're wearing foundation, vs. it looking like your own flawless skin.

I have very dry skin and have been using Kat Von D Lock It foundation since it first came out and I absolutly LOVE it. It is mt holy grail. I've never had a problem with it on my dry skin.

Jacqueline, I recently started using this and haven't had any problems with it. I do agree that it is kind of thick, but as long as I use my beauty blender with a squirt or two of water on it it has applied real nice, even coverage with a natural look. I have had no problems with it cracking or anything (I am normal skin, not dry, so that could be why).

It's definitely one that you have to kind of play around with as far as application goes. Some people prefer a sponge or beauty blender. I prefer using a brush for application. That works best for me. I have extremely oily skin and when I first got it I actually didn't like it because after a couple hours it would basically break up and slide off my face. Once I found a skin care routine that worked for me and got my oily face in check I haven't had any problems and I love it. It's the only foundation I've used that didn't settle into my acne scars and make them more obvious. On days when I don't want/need as much full coverage, I use the lock it powder foundation. The coverage is just as good. I would recommend at least getting a sample and seeing how you like it before committing. Then again, I guess you could always return it if you didn't like it.
