i was just thinking about this when i was browsing in wal mart to see what new offerings revlon, maybelline, wet n wild, etc. had when i came across a bonne bell display. it brought back a good memory for me because i got my very first eyeliner from them. it was a sparkly navy blue and i wore it to death lol. so ladies, what was your first? what started the addiction/obsession/love/enchantment/or whatever? : )

I think it was a NYC clear gloss that made my lips smell like strawberries. I wore it everyday to school.

My first purchase that made me makeup obsessed was Electric Eel eye shadow from MAC Cosmetics. Never looked back ever since. :)

I believe that it was a strawberry/chemical/plastic scented gloss from 5 below, that looked as though it had been opened, and the glitter in it looked like craft glitter. It reflected green, and only a few would get on your lips at a time, but I loved that thing.

HAAH, oh man, ever? I'm pretty sure in middle school, it was some lip smackers lip gloss or something. I'm not sure what my first makeup product when I was SERIOUSLY getting into makeup was.... most likely some sort of foundation/concealer/powder.

It was probably an eyeliner, I used to wear it really, really thick as a teen haha. I always remember receiving an eyeshadow palette as a present. Bright Orange lids ftw aha.

Ever? If lip balm counts, then definitely Lip Smackers lip balms. Other than that, probably a random lipstick from the dollar store...

Maybelline Cool-Effects eye crayon pencil shadows. Loved the cooling effect - worked great w/ puffy eyes in the morning and lack of sleep. I was a dedicated fan for almost 10 years until they pulled them from the shelves to make room for a new line up of makeup. They were perfect on-the-go, and much better than having to dip your hand into a pot of cream shadows and was easily blended out with your finger.  =)

Haha... yeah! When they discontinued those, it forced me to go out and buy my first brushes and learn to refine my boring lazy routine of smearing some crayon pencils on my lids, eyeliner, brow pencil and tinted moisturizer. I was so low-maintenance back then... such a tiny stepping stone into my full-blown obsession today. Haha, can't believe I went through all those years with just enough to fill a tiny makeup bag with space to spare. I can't even fathom lugging makeup around with me anymore with my current routine, so I wake up early to make sure I apply it right in the mornings so I don't have to carry the warpaint with me.  =P

I'm pretty sure it was some off-brand colored mascara. I bought a black one and a blue one for 99 cents. Oh jeez. xD

The first real real make up was some eye shadow by wet n wild in this quad deal. It was a lot of browns and I had no idea what I was doing. Next it was foundation, mascara and eventually liquid liner.

My mom really limited what I could wear until I was around 12 or 13 but I always LOVED lipgloss. It was the 90's and all the rage LOL I had as many as I could get my hands on.
