Hi guys I know a lot of people make posts about acne scars but yeah here's another one.. I have had cystic acne for the past 2 years and it is beginning to clear up and I really want to work on my acne scars. I just don't know what to do or where to start.. I have Ice pick scarring which means there is some indentation.. Some people say to use chemical peels and others recommend scar gels.. I don't know what kind of product I should buy and I am just hoping for some help.

I would go to a professional to get a chemical peel done. I know my cosmetologist has a chemical peel especially for acne and she says it helps a ton. The only con is that you need to avoid the sun or a few days after a chemical peel.

I myself had a chemical peel done twice in past 2 months. It has faded my acne marks for about 80%. Rest dermatologist has given me a cream to fade. You can give it a shot and trust me its worth!! I got 20%glycolic acid peel done as my marks were not deep! Chemical peeling and den scar gel will work, not just one. Also, I have been talking vitamin E pills which has improved my skin texture and also helping the marks to fade.
Only one thing, you shouldn't have active breakouts on skin before and while the peeling is done.It worsens d condition and docs don't recommend it.:))

Okay, I have acne scars too! I would try natural methods first, but if it doesn't work (like mine didn't) you should read this article-- It's a periodical from the medical spa that I go to, and it was perfect. It's really helped me figure out what to do about my acne scars. This is the link to the whole periodical, but just flip until you get to the acne scars!
