Ladies I have to know how some of you feel when you see some horribly drawn eyebrows. Personally I don't shade mine in. I like wearing less because I've found the more makeup you add to your daily regiment the more you feel like you need it and don't embrace what makes you...YOU. The most I do for myself is shadow and lips. But I've seen dark ass eyebrows that look like apostrophes on a forehead. Opinions please.

Really depends on the person, obviously it doesn't look good if it looks like they used a nikko pen hah.

Lol I feel like sometimes people do too much just to fit in with a trend, without it everyone's still beautiful one way or another.

Cartoon eyebrows are one of my personal pet peeves. Some people can draw on their eyebrows with it still looking natural, and that's great. However you see people with horrible eyebrows that are literally painted on...yikes! That's just my opinion though. If you like that style...then wear it...I guess...
Ew.

Yep that's the shit that irks my nerves. I'm like why?! Lol

Personally, I'm totally fine with drawn on eyebrows. Honestly, mine are half shaved off so I can change up my eyebrow shape whenever I feel like it but, like everything on life you have to practice to get things right. I've seen some horrible eyebrow jobs. But, hey, who am I to judge? If they feel comfortable with their eyebrows looking that way... Great! So yeah, it does take practice and looking back at some of my eyebrow jobs... Sheesh! But I got better. I say just leave them be in all honesty. :)

I fill mine in because I havent had a natural haircolour in over 4 years, just preference but I agree some people do go overboard.

I've always been one to go for a very natural look. I personally don't shade in my eyebrows or anything, mainly because I can't be bothered. I have nothing against drawn on eyebrows, because well, to each their own, right? I can fully understand that someone who over-plucked their eyebrows when they were younger wants to use a pencil or shadow to fill in some of the empty patches to create a fuller brow. But I honestly think natural is so much sexier - whether it's eyebrows or anything else.

Not saying shading in general is wrong. Do what you like. I just hate to see when someone over does the shading. I think it just takes away from them with super dark brows. But mostly I'm talking about people just following this new obsession with brows and taking it to the max.

Ok, you didn't really make that clear in your first post though.

Didn't expect anybody to take that personal. It's not that deep. Just my thoughts on brows.

I understand where you're coming from Briana. And I also understand where Cassandra is coming from. It really does depend on the person. Some people do it because that's all they know, I know from experience. Som don't even have to draw them in, also from experience, and some people like the gradient effect on their brow. I personally love the concealed eyebrow look.
Now for Meg. You dislike those brows therefore you don't draw yours in like that, right? We are all artist and we view things, well at least I do, from an artistic point of view. Maybe fellow human beings like being creative, unique, and true to themselves. I love that about people. Someone who can be themselves and not care. But honestly that wasn't a good picture to back up your example because that was probably for a magazine spread or runway look. And those brows could've had a story behind them.
I positive that there's someone also asking themselves "why do they shade their brows just a lil or they don't even do anything to their brows to complete their look"

Diggie yeah it is a model but I have actually seen girls with this look in real life, just didn't think it right to post a pic of someone who did it intentionally as that would be unkind. Also in my post I said each to their own, but personally I dislike the look, not saying people should stop.

Ok and showing a work of art that an artist did, literally their work, you used as an example. Maybe you should've done to yourself, then it wouldn't have been unkind. And I'm not attacking you.
What I was basically saying was that why worry about what other people do?
I'm just fed up with this kind of threads! People need to get over themselves and just live life.
Homegirl there a lot of stuff that I see and don't like, but don't make a whole thread on it. I move on.

This is probably my last comment.
Just one question, how would you feel if they made a tread about things people didn't like and coincidently you do or have. How would you feel? I think I would feel judged and like I'm "being put on the spot" We're not perfect. I'm sure I can find something I don't like about you all on here but I'm not going to waste my time talk about it.

Lol I don't feel attacked, just gave my opinion, an yeah it's an artists work but it was just to show exactly what I meant, not going to do it to myself haha. Simply my opinion which is what the thread asked for. Whatever float people's boats. That's all I'm going to say, not getting into a long discussion over eyebrows cos its just seems silly lol

Whewww!^^^^ LADIES.
On my side: to each their own. of they feel fabulous in their own skin, let it be. :) some people NEED to draw on eyebrows... like me! I did the horrible deed of overplucking my right eyebrow, and now it will never return! (overdramatic but, its still painfully hard to admit)
So, I fill in my left brow because I did some overplucking too, but like, literally, I so not have a right eyebrow! so, its kinda necessary for me... and I feel fabulous with them drawn ;)

Lol haha you don't have to discuss it anymore lol haha all of you who had something to say about other people's "drawn" eyebrows didn't really give your opinion, you judged. I'm done with this thread. Just don't get all butt hurt when someone calls any of you out on your flaws.

Well I tend to use a little bit of pencil or powder as I had a waxing accident and right now they are a little sparse still. However I won't once they have grown back as they are black and thick so I don't feel I need to. I like really defined brows on other people but not on myself. And I must say it takes quite a bit of skill to do it properly.

Yeah, Diggie! That's exactly what I was trying to say! I agree totally. :)

I hate the fact that no one here can give a single opinion without others saying "who cares if they do it, let them," or something of that sort, because I don't see anyone stopping them from doing it. It's a *personal* pet peeve. Why is it acceptable to critique certain works of art but once we get to the topic of makeup (which is also artistic to many) we're thought of as judggy assholes? It doesn't mean I'm rude or mean, it means I am a person who just likes sharing my thoughts.
Also, I've seen a lighthearted thread started by mookey about a girl who had a horrible weave job and bad eyebrows and what not, and none of y'all stood out and said "well if she's comfortable, who cares?" so I don't see the difference. It's so annoying to be censored in what I have to say. This is a community also for discussion.

Oops, and sorry if this was more of a rant than addressing anyone in particular

"Maybe if they feel offended they'll take steps to get back into shape" How do you know they aren't trying to get back into shape? How do you know that their shape is a result of medicine they've been taking? There are so many vast reasons why people may be out of shape. Even a thin person could be out of shape. It's ridiculous and ugly that you're picking on someone who is fat because they don't fit your little mold on what's pretty and what's not. I think you're forgetting a key thing here: they are still people do, and they should be treated with respect.
