I do it all the time, because my hairdresser cuts way to much hair :)
Make sure you know what you do, get a good pair of scissors (preferably the ones hairdressers use) and a good set of mirrors so you can see what you're doing

Make sure your hair is all dry or all wet.. I did mine while wet but a little peice had dried and I cut it and now it's shorter then everything else..

I only cut my bangs.. But I've been meaning to trim the ends of my hair but whenever I'm about to do it I'm afraid I'll mess it up. lol.

Don't do it wet! If you're doing it yourself, because then you'll get uneven cuts.

Yeah I've done it before...just make sure to cut little pieces instead of chopping a bunch off. That way, there's less a chance of messing up.
