Create a thin line along your lashline. When you get close to the end of your eye, create an isosceles triangle and connect the top end to your eye :)

@Danna , I do the same. I put a piece of tape on the outside of my eyes when I do my shadow so I don't make a mess and when I take the tape off I have a clean line to do my liner. Makes it easier to get a clear line...

The best thing to do is look at YouTube tutorials.that way you get a demonstration.that's how I learned.

Hi, I'm a cosmetologist and a theater trained make up artist! I use MACs fluid line gel liner in black track with a lip liner brush, I line my lid and then construct the wing like Lynzie's black and white pic. The brush gives a perfectly sharp line every time and feels similar to using a pencil. If that doesn't work well for you try it with an angle brush- that can be trickier to adjust to but makes PERFECT cat eyes.
I also wipe the product on the inside of the lid back a forth a few times to evenly distribute the gel before applying it to my face and that makes for a much cleaner application!
