I have layered hair and everytime I try to do a sock bun I can't do it because of my layered hair. Is there a way I can create a sock bun for my hair type.

Is your hair long? Thick? Thin? Short?

Try wetting your hair down and using a lot of bobby pins, I usually use about 20. I have layers too so I know how you feel!

Hmm you can try teasing it if you aren't planning to do this style all the time or maybe you can just try another style bun? What I do sometimes is this
1.put hair in a ponytail
2. Fan hair out and gather into a bun
3. Wraps hair around until everything is tucked under
4.spread until I get desired size and pin it
I hope that helped!

I have your hair type and I finally figured it out! Loop your hair through the sock and bring the sock to the bottom of your ponytail. Tuck the ends in first and loop it around the sock (don't worry about unevenness, it will all fix itself in the end). Then keep your ponytail down (like a normal ponytail) and start folding until all your layers are secured. Then lift the pony up and fold until you are finished. Don't stop if it looks like it won't work! Trust me, mine look so messy right up until the last fold! Hope this helps :)
