I always set my elbow on a surface when I do my eyeliner. It helps soo much with steadying!

If you want to do the wing, the right angle is the one with which you measure how long the tail of your eyebrow should be. A straight line from the side of your nose, lined up with the outter end of your eyeball. If you don't think it looks ok, try a straight line (imaginary) from the outter en d of your eye and the end of your eyebrow.
