What curling iron do you use? I couldn't get any of my curls to stay until I used the Remington curling wand. It's pretty cheap (like 20 dollars I think) and that's the only curling iron I've tried that holds!

I when had my long hair I always sprayed a heat protecting hairspray over it so curls and straighting would stay better.

Instead of starting the curling process from the tips, start from the top and move down. That way you are giving curl to the entire strand and the weight of the curl won't fall to the bottom.

Hi I'm a cosmetologist! how you hair cools is actually more important than the amount of heat you use! (heat is essential, but too hot and itll just fry your hair) if youre curling your hair and letting it unravel youre loosing most of the wave. try rolling the hair up as you remove the iron and pin the curl to your roots. let your whole head go cold before removing the pins. and luciana's technique is on point! starting from the ends and rolling up only gets the ends curled (not to mentions dried out and fried much quicker) and could be the main reason why your curls don't last very long.
