So I dyed my hair pink with splat hair dye but it fades extremely fast and when I wash my hair (which is not often) the color runs ALOT. I know I have to bleach my hair, which I've done, and since my hair is virgin it didn't really damage it. I NEVER use heat on my hair. Can you girls recommend a hair dye that stays for a long time and is extremely vibrant? Sorry for the long post c;

I've never seen pink box dyes before but I've heard mixing some of your hair dye with your conditioner keeps it in longer so try that and just let the conditioner sit for a while. I had pink hair and had the same problem haha

The BEST is special effects atomic pink. I don't recommend it if you don't want a long term commitment. It's very hard to get rid of. I typically dilute my color with conditioners so its not as dark as the undiluted version, but to each their own. This is my hair a month after coloring.

Wash your hair with cold, cool, or lukewarm water. Any color that is not brown or blonde will fade out really fast because it doesn't necessarily "sink" into the hair shaft, it just kind of sticks to it. So washing with cold water helps. Also, no matter what if you're dying your hair with something that's semi or demi permanent its bound to fade out faster because its not a "permanent" color.
