I have a few pairs of plain old nude tights. What are some fun things I could do with them? I want to still be able to wear them as tights, but I want them to be interesting.

Definitely! I just used some powdered and/or liquid RIT dye..I either dip dyed them or put different colors in different bottles to make tie-dye effects. you can find it at walmart, a grocery store, or any sewing/craft place. They would probably be pretty sheer, but you can definitely play with fabric dyes =)
I've never made these myself, but I have purchased a couple of pairs of tights with a design in velvet flocking.. there's probably a cool tutorial for that too. Those always look awesome on sheerer tights
