I do the hairspray to set extremely complicated eye shadow looks that need to stay in place. I think it works beautifully! I've had makeup last in the rain thanks to hairspray :)

Hairspray is great for setting your eyebrows. I've never heard the deodorant trick!

Sometimes hairspray n deodorant have ingredients that might result in burning your facial skin as it is much thinner and sensitive than the skin on the rest of the body! would not recommend using it on the face...

I spray my face lightly with hairspray when I'm done with my makeup. works as a setting spray :)

@em l. but oil and sweat are 2 very different things. I'd just invest in a good primer tbh.
