I have super oily skin. I wash my face in the morning with a gentle foam cleanser, moisturize with murad mattifying spf, and I use the clarisonic at night with dermadoctor. I use smashbox primer and makeup forever powder foundation. I've tried so many fash washes, so many moisturizers, primer, and foundations... and the only time I've been oil free was when I was taking accutane. Any thoughts?? suggestions??

The one pro to oily skin...we age at a slower rate. Dry skin age faster since its lacks moisture. I have oily skin as well and I've just come to accept it. My skin is acne free and it only acts up if I indulge in too much junk food (candy, ice cream, baked items).

Thanks Shelley. Aging slower is always a plus.

Shelley's right. That is a plus. I've been using Skin79's intense classic bbe cream (Korean), and moisturizing with Cetaphil in the morning and maracuja and coconut oils at night. It's definitely helped. I've also been using Boscia's lavender blotting sheets. They blot the oil without making my face look cakey. Benefit's Dr Feelgood works well too.

My skin is oily and I breakout. I use the apricot scrub every day.and acne bar for any back acne. I also use the BB cream by rimmel. Try light makeup for summer.

Ooh Urbam Decay's De-Slick is great. I use it every day.

This will probably sound crazy but use Josie Maran Argan oil as your nighttime moisturizer. Giving your skin more oil tricks the body into thinking its producing enough oil... which will slow down oil production.

I have oily skin and remember oil is great, it reduces wrinkles so I try to control it not get rid of it. the best thing I have found was hour glass mineral veil primer. It's awesome. You can get it from Sephora.

I agree with Ciara, your skin is probably trying to overcompensate with oil, so you have to provide your face with good oils so that it does not overproduce. I personally use jojoba oil and it has dramatically reduced oiliness for me. It is not greasy and mimics sebum, so it will not clog pores. It also helps with acne scars and prevents flaking when using drying products.

I have super oily skin and like the ladies here say... It has its advantages and I have come to accept it. What I do to help throughout the day is I keep tissues or rice paper in my purse to blot out the excess oil. My skin won't be matte but more like a healthy glow. It's not so bad once you learn to live with it. Hope this helps :-)

Try switching ti a cleansing milk. my skin makes more oil when I use a foaming cleanser, like it is trying to overcorrect the stripping of the natural oils.
