Am I the only one that gets annoyed when people act like because you have a certain eye color, you're restricted to only a few colors of eyeshadow?! (Ex. Purples are for brown eyes, coppers for blue...ect.) I understand that some colors may be more flattering than others, but I think everyone should wear what makes them happy!

Everyone has their right to wear what they want and they think looks good on them.

Well hello, I don't have blue eyes but I have seen this happen a lot to people who do have blue eyes. You're not restricted to only use coppers, purples, or whatever other color people say. Those just suggestions. And the colors they suggest are probably the colors that show and make your eyes pop. It's all about whether you listen to what they have to say or you can be yourself and buy whatever color it is you want. It's just that simple.

Hahaha, I didn't really mean that only people with blue eyes could comment. (:

I was just repeating what I've heard people say about color groups. Like only people who have blue eyes can wear a certain color.

But I agree with you, some colors do make blue/brown/green eyes pop, but I think a lot of people feel restricted because of that. Which is sad. :(

I wear whatever color eyeshadow I feel like.. yes certain colors make my hazel eyes pop but I will not restrict myself to just those colors.

I agree. A lot of makeup 'rules' are like that though. I'm a redhead, but think I look great with red lips. I like to think of makeup rules as guidelines, because they do generally work well. There's a reason people follow them. However if I find something that I like that breaks one of these rules, I'll wear it anyways. I think anyone can wear anything if they have the confidence to rock it.
