You can try to look for online contest if you want! like earlier in the year wetseal was having a model search. When it comes to finding modeling gigs and stuff like that in person you just have to go for it and look. Just be VERY careful they are a lot of scams out there.
you might even in the future want to invest in a nicer camera like a cannon or nikon or if you have a friend who has a camera like that to help you take pics and start your best attempt at a professional portfolio.
