I'm going to start using better quality makeup and if I'm going to spend that much money I need to know what's good! The two I want to try is MAC and Chanel, which one has better products?

They both make great lipsticks. Chanel DEFINITELY makes the better foundation of the 2. Chanel also makes amazing eyeshadows. I've only tried Mac blush and its so good.

I definitely prefer Chanel's foundation. Only thing I hate is the price. MAC breaks me out like crazy.. Love MAC's lipstick though. Only thing I really buy from there.

Personally, I only own one product by Chanel ( Bronzer Universal) and I just got it Friday after months of pining after it.
I have a ton of MAC though, and what draws me to MAC before Chanel, besides the price, is the variety. MAC specializes in makeup and nothing else so there are many more shades and such available.
I say spend some time at the counters, and talk to other people who are at the counter browsing. It's a great way to hear straight forward reviews.
All brands have their strengths and their weaknesses but with these two, it;s hard to pinpoint (Though some of Chanel's skin care is way hyped up, when it cannot actually chemically do the things it claims. I have recently been studying skin care on a chemical level and have learned many intersting things.)
