Hello my loves :)
Ever since I saw a YouTube video from one of my favorite gurus, Allisonlovesjb, I've been considering visiting a thrift shop to do a little shopping (most likely goodwill). In her video she showed us a handful of surprisingly cute clothes and shoes she bought from a thrift shop and I'm really intrigued! I love high waisted bottoms and vintage clothing so I feel like I would have a ball shopping around in one of these shops. Have any of you guys ever done some thrift store shopping? If so, what were your experiences?
Thanks a bunches :) and Happy Fourth of July!! Be safe today and enjoy 😘

Goodwill is a good idea but personally I would go to Plato's closet, uptown cheap skate. Try consignment stores. I love thrift shopping it's a great way to save money!

I do it a lot! It saves a huge amount of money. Sometimes I find pieces from Zara or H&M!

Plato's Closet is a good thrift shop, I love it personally. But I get my work clothes (slacks and blazers) and can walk out with a good. 5-10 things for under or about $20.

I make a lot of floral arrangements for people as a hobby, they make wonderful gifts for mothers day and stuff like that. but vases get so expensive but goodwill has these days where its half off or something like that. I love finding vintage clothes in there and a lot of my sweaters came from secondhand stores, as I'm not really into the modern floral prints. and a lot of times people have donated aero, pac sun, hollister, stuff like that. and sometimes I've added little designs its really fun to mess around with without spending a lot of money. and a lot of times your town will have its own consignment shop, we have several, you just have to look around:)

My friends and I love to all go to Goodwill together and shopping at thrift stores can be pretty overwhelming for the first time! At least it was for me! I learned from the people who went long before me that there usually is a system to looking at things an example would be; men sweaters and cardigans, then shoes, skirts and tops. And it's good to go in with a list of things you would like to find :)

I volunteered at one and I got guess jeans and a home coming dress. I looked online to find the dress and it was $400 I paid $10. And my jeans were $3 :)

I grew up shopping at Goodwill and Salvation Army because that was all we could afford. Don't go in expecting amazing clothes and cute vintage stuff, because 99% of the time you have to dig through seventy pairs of crappy torn blue jeans or stained tee-shirts before you find something that doesn't look like garbage. Maybe if your thrift store is in an upscale urban area you will have better luck, but if you are in a small working-class town you are more likely to find outdated, low quality "junk clothes".
