Can you dye extensions?

I bought a 18inch clip in extensions but I want to change the color. It's 100%human hair. Can I dye it n how to take Care of it after?

Yes, you can color human hair extensions. Proceed with caution though, I've seen even human hair reject color. The process of making extensions goes through many many many chemical process, so the higher quality of hair the better the color will take. As far as take care of them, wash them only as often as you need to with either a shampoo specifically made for extensions or one that is 100% sulfate free. After washing lay them down flat to dry careful not to tug or stretch them. Extensions will not accept your normal conditioner as the cuticle is completely sealed therefore you're better off using a styling oil. Comb the oil through very gently, and brush often in between washes to prevent tangles, and minimize heat stylist to prevent having to cut them frequently.

Ok soo if I dye it then late it air dry after? Gosh I hope I don't ruin it.

Yes I agree with rachel. Remember that with all the process to the extensions, some parts of the hair may absorb color different than other parts. You may have to either color it twice or watch out that it doesn't get too dark due to the porosity of the hair. Just keep your eye on them. Have fun!

I'm sorry ladies but when I wash the extensions when I esas dyy off of extensions do I use shampoo or do I get the conditioner of that comes in the box
