It depends on the eye shape because I have tried the non brand eyelash curlers and they do not work for me at all! But then I found Shiseido eyelash curler which was pricy but totally worth it and it never fails me!:)

Yeah, some name brand curlers are made to fit certain eye shapes. Where as non-brand will be a pretty generic slight semi oval curve. If it works for you though, I say keep using what you're using! I used to use one from NYC, cheap drugstore brand (I got for around $2USD) it ended up wearing out pretty fast and the springs wore out and I wasn't getting the curl I liked from before. I splurged and bought one from Tarte (It was $15USD) and I've had it for over a year and the springs have still been like brand new, along with more comfortability, with the pads it comes with. That's the only difference I've noticed with my use of name brand VS drugs store brand curlers. I hope this helped! Trying out different kinds of curlers is a good idea too!

Be careful with cheaper eyelash curlers. the elf one rips your eyelashes out! not pretty.

My favorite lash curler came a color workshop holiday palette and I pick it over my other ones I spent entirely too much for. $$ doesn't always equal quality. I wish we could try them before wasting money on them, but personal grooming is like that...
