I am currently an aspiring MUA taking my first classes in beginner beauty. My school offers a beginners kit but its too expensive right now. So I wanna build my kit personally but have limited resources. With all the different brands and styles it's a bit overwhelming. Any suggestions on how to get started or can you work for products or can you be an artists under study. What did you guys do where you first started? Help??

Talk to your school and see if you can get one financed to you! if not find oit whatis in the kit and find comparable subsitutes.
when learning about make up its really important to be able to get started. without the right tools you won't be able to do all of the assignments to the best of your ability so I encourage you to do everything you can to get their kit. most schools design their kits around their curriculum so substituting your own kit might not be to your benifit anyway.
when I did cosmetology school the kit was $1500. so I begged my dad and forfeited all future birthday gifts. it worked, I got my kit, and even though I workas an eyebrow threader I wouldnt change my path for a second!
best of luck!
