Orange To White Hair?

I had dyed black, long hair. I shaved most of my head so I had 'virgin' hair and the hair on top still had some dye. I wanted to get to white hair, so I bleached the virgin parts of my hair to a light blonde (which I toned with diluted purple hair dye to silver). I bleached the dyed hair four times (not all at once, and I take good care of my hair so it's still soft and healthy). the first bleaching got my hair to a bright orange, which I expected. but each bleaching after that barely lifted any color at all! I'm running out of ideas. help?

Maybe look into thats 'color oops' thing? I believe that strips your hair of all colour.

White toner or purple shampoo should definitely help brighten it up a bit!
