If you use a luffa I would stop because they spread bacteria and cause body acne for some people!

Try mixing a lot of salt in a glass of water and then use a small cloth to put the water onto your skin. Then let it dry until you can feel the salt. Do not take it off yet.
After you put some toothpaste on your whole back, and let it dry (it takes probably around half and hour). When it's dry, then take a shower to get it off. I did it yesterday for the first time and I can see results :)

Wash your back area with a mixture of water n vinegar or water n lemon...Sometimes a build up of conditioner used in your hair can cause back acne make sure your back is thoroughly cleaned when washing hair...Use a mild cleanser having salicylic acid on your back to keep it clean...I would not recommend toothpaste coz the fluoride in it can burn the skin sometimes n lead to more black spots...Once your acne clears up use coconut oil or bio oil in small amounts on the black marks...They will fade with time...Hope this helps :)

@Jodie
If its on your thighs, it could be a form of KP. It's a treatable skin condition, but you should see a dermatologist.

Try a body wash for acne prone skin. Neutrogena makes one! It helped with mine a lot!

Also take a trip to the beach :) the salt water always seems to help clear it up!
