Unrefined cold pressed organic virgin or extra virgin coconut oil might help the dryness.

If its dry, maybe try a deep conditioning treatment before dying it. Have you tried using sulfate-free shampoos? They are not expensive (Loreal has one). You could even try using a (co-wash) its just a conditioner that washes your hair. Target sells a bunch of them. Go to Curlynikki.com and search "co-wash" they should have a list of products you can use to wash your hair.

Almost everyday before putting in my mascara I use olive oil in my hair, not much though. It's helped. I'll look into the co-wash. Thanks darlings!

Defiantly do NOT go red. Even if the box says semi perm it will always be perm!! Because everybody has at least a little bit of red in their hair. And if you try to strip it out or dye it, it will always go back to red!! Trust me. Learned the hard way!

Use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner so that it won't dry out your hair and for the color I really love the pic down on the left the light ash brown so gorgeous =D.

I was the same thing except my hair is fine, I used this yogurt mask for my hair! It was chamomile tea, plain yogurt, and olive oil in it! MY HAIR WAS SO SOFT! It didn't do anything thickness wise, but it was corse and super moisturized!
