I dyed it blond when my hair was black my roots did turn out blond but the rest obviously stayed black. If its naturally brown it will most likely turn lighter! Hope this helped:]

If your hair is virgin yes color lifts color if not no but try lo real hi lift it's for dark hair to lighten without bleach..they sell it at Sally's beauty supply.

The hi lift? Well it's like ion highlift they don't have bleach I know ion doesn't or sure not the high lift series :)

Try the John Frieda go lightening spray. It will make your hair a brassy color since its brown. And then dye it blonde without bleach(: hope I helped xx

You need to do it a few times but if you use honey with it it won't damage your hair you could just blow dry it too for it to lighten.

Use the Marilyn treatment from lush! I use it because I want to get blonder but a lot of brunettes use it to get highlights naturally!
