Get the rollers that don't require pins or clips
The looser curl you want the bigger the roller should be and the tighter the curl you want the smaller the roller. Hope this helped :)

Same thing here I'm growing out my hair and I wanted to try rollers on my hair with just past my shoulders hair length and I hot rollers that are plastic from amazon and hell no they did not work at all they slide everywhere I can't keep my hair in thw rollers I'm going to get the velcro ones they hold much better so do not get the plastic ones at all :)

I use a beach waves spray and twist my hair into tight ringlets. I go over them with a flat iron for just a moment, and then let them cool before shaking them out. I got the Remington velvet hot rollers for when I want super curls and I use a heat protection spray.
