What is the technique? I'm going to a party and I want to wear heels, but I've never really worn them before so don't want to look stupid?
Please please help!!:)

Practice at home with your shoes so you can get used to them and break them in also don't get really super high ones. You should be able to go on your tip toes about an inch from the floor if you loose your balance its too high.

The technique is that you walk from heel to toe and I agree with Betsy practice like crazy at home.

Pretty much practice at home hun. In my experience depending on the heel they just hurt after a few hours in them. I've heard that buying more expensive heels is less painful but I know I don't have the cash to dish out for $1000 shoes myself but it really just depends on the shoe. I'd start off with wedges if I were you.

I agree with @Ellaouise R! Except I lean my weight on the toe normally, It keeps me steady! Try both ways and see which one you prefer!

Practice in shorter heals and work your way up to taller ones. Practice at home.

A medium wedge gives height while allowing easier balance. Give that a shot.

Wedges are definitely easier to walk in. For myself, I'm a dancer so when I'm in heels, I pretty much keep my weight on my toes and just walk on tip-toe more or less. Just practice at home before you go anywhere so you can get used to them :)
