My eyebrows are sparse so I have to color them in. I've experimented with a few eyebrow pencils and none of them have been amazing.
do any of you colour yours in? If so, what do you use?

I use a pencil to define the shape of the brows, then powder with an angled brush to fill them in.

Hourglass. It's the most natural I've ever found and I have blonde sparse eyebrows. It's has a shaped tip so it's super easy to use. It comes in three shades but depending on how heavily you apply it you can control the intensity of the look. X

I have several options in my stash...MAC retractable pencil liner and a matte dark chocolate eyeshadow from Bobbi Brown. Hourglass is an awesome pencil and if you can afford it I say go for it. I used it for a time but could never keep it around as my bestie would "borrow" it. Holds up well in hot humid weather. Another option is Kevin Aucoins eyebrow pencil. Pricey as well but it does a great job as well.

I actually have the same problem and I use a very inexpensive eye pencil. It's the NYC eye/brow pencil in Sable. You can find it at CVS for like a dollar and it's very long so it lasts forever.

E.l.f eyebrow kit. I just use the gel because the powder is extremely light.
