I've heard that using Milk of Magnesium as a make up primer is supposed to work wonders for oily skin...have any of you tried it out? Any tips on how to, or not to, use it?
Thanks! :)

Heard about it! Never tried it! I can't get over the idea of it being medicine! Not primer.

I use it religiously! On my second bottle. I either apply it with my fingers or with a cotton ball after I've washed my face and am ready to put makeup on. I put it all over, especially in the oil prone parts like the t zone, then wait for it to dry. It sometimes drys looking like there's dried toothpaste all over your face haha, but you can just rub it a little and it'll totally disappear. Then I apply other primers I'm going to use (like benefit Porefessional or something) and then go on with my makeup routine! I love milk of magnesia. It's helped the oil of my skin, fills in pores, makes me stay matte all day, makes my makeup stay a lot longer than it ever would on its own, and has even helped my skin in general with less blemishes. And it's only a couple bucks! Love it! Definitely try it, you'll be hooked!

I've been wanting to try it! Emily what order should I use it? Milk of magnesia, moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation?

Yes I use it! It's awesome! Really keeps my oil slick face matte haha.
You can buy it at walmart, cvs, anywhere really bc it's a common laxative haha.

You can get it at any drugstore! Because as Vanessa said, it's actually a laxative haha! But don't let that put you off from it, it's awesome!
Ivette: I do my sunscreen/moisturizer (2 in one), milk of magnesia, foundation last!
Glad I could help! (Vanessa I feel like we always talk about milk of magnesia haha! ❤👌)

Preeti: it's good for your skin! If its something you digest, it definitely should not be harmful for your skin.
Ceecee: I put it on after because my moisturizer leaves my face with a sheen I don't like. Try both and see what works for you!
