Sometimes I put on the eye shadow and then I take a white or gold sparkly eye shadow and kind of dab it on the lid to give it a metallic look.

And then rub it in your eye shadow.

When you wet your brush it gives it a vibrant color and makes it last but it won't give you shimmer or anything like that.

No I don't think wetting your eye shadow brush with water will do anything. I would just apply some sort of glittery eye shadow over top. You can also just buy a metallic eye shadow base. I am in love with the Maybelline eye shadow tattoo's. They have a "metal" line. Check them out, you can put them underneath your eye shadow or use them alone and they're pretty cheap.
