So I went to MAC yesterday to finally try the prolong wear concealer and I told the lady I wanted it a bit lighter for a highlight and I'm usually NW30 and she gave me an NC20 she said itd look better if it was opposite of my undertone.. But I don't know if that sounds correct lol basically what I'm asking is if anyone else has gotten told this?

I don't know if this is the same situation but um an nc 42 but they gave me a nw35. I think it may be more to correct the color. When I tried just using reg under eye concealer a most if them would leave a grey cast under my eye…not cute. So the nw35 corrects my under eye color.

I guess that makes sense I didn't think about it like that. Glad I'm not the only one I thought she was just saying it so thanks much! :)

I think the reason she gave you an NC is for it to stand out more. NW concealers are more orange looking. If she was to give you an NW concealer it wouldn't look like a highlight against your warm skin.

Good to know I've been wanting to purchase Mac foundation and concealer to try out for my wedding since I'm doing my own makeup :)
