Tresseme works for me, I have thick hair,although short, and it can get greasy with some conditioners. Leaves my hair soft and shiny but not greasy even after a couple of days. :)

I condition my hair every other day most of the time. My hair gets greasy. So you could just use less conditioner.

I try to apply the conditioner more towards my ends and not so close to the roots and that seems to be working

I agree with Ashton, I use Tresemmé to was my hair every other day and it stays soft and shiny:)
