I use it. put a very small amount in your hand and rub your hands together. rub your hands through your hair starting at your roots working your way down to the ends of your hair.

I usually put a nickel size in my hands (I have very long hair, so maybe use a smaller amount) and I distribute it through damp hair. I wouldn't go above shoulders because you don't want your scalp to look oily.

My hair is dry so I literally rub it around in my hands and then rub it around in my roots and then the rest of my hair after I take a shower :)
