Hey my lovies, I have really dry skin and I'm in need of a good foundation that lasts all day with at least a medium coverage. Also what blushes or bronzers do you recommend for dry skin? right now I use a liquid foundation but I don't like it very much. And what brushes are best for giving a really smooth application?

I'm head over heels in love with chanel vitalumiere aqua for my dry skin. It is a sheer to medium coverage though. I also really like diorskin nude, which is also about a medium coverage. I recently tried the new are tarte amazonian clay fdtn and was pretty impressed with that also, great if you want a fuller coverage.
I usually am not a fan of buffing fdtn on to my dry skin, it usually creates a lot of texture. I generally stick to the very typical flat foundation brush.
Blush and bronzer, I suppose you could do creams if you feel like you need that consistency for your skin, but I still like my powders. I just feel like they are easier to work with.

Had the same problem as you I have super dry skin but now I use M.A.C Studio Fix which has really good coverage especially for me since I have a lot of acne scars. Also it doesnt make my face look cakey at all or clog my pores I recommend you try it! Its a little pricey but its worth it!

Courtney: thanks so much! yeah I love my powder blushes and stuff but right now it tends to make my face look more dry blegh! D: but If I try out one of those foundations you mentioned then maybe it'll make a difference and I can keep using powder blush :) thanks a bunch! <3
Tiany: Oh I almost bought that once! :o darn I should've bought it! thanks a lot! <3

As long as you have a good foundation, you should be able to use your powder blushes and bronzers with no problem. My dry skin loves the MAC Face and Body foundation for a light coverage, and the MAC Matchmaster is great if you need a fuller coverage. I also recommend buying the Urban Decay Dew Me setting spray. It really helps if you use it before and after foundation. :) Hope that helps!

You should try NARS Sheer Glow! I have awful patches of dry skin on my forehead because of the winter cold (.. the Canadian dry winter at that), and I found it was really forgiving over my dry skin, it's a medium coverage with a really nice satin finish. I've also used MAC Studio Sculpt, that actually moisturizes skin - it's medium to full coverage, gel formula! MUFE HD Foundation is another good one on my combo-dry skin.
xx :)

I second Santina, I love NARS Sheer Glow! I also like MAC Studio Tech (if you are not blemish prone) and MAC Full Coverage. My skin is usually normal to quite dry.

I have dry skin as well but for me personally the Nars did not work and I think it made me break out. But the best thing for Dry skin is a good moisturizer. I usually don't wear liquid foundation on a daily basis but when I do I use Make Up For Ever's HD foundation and never have a problem with it drying and for everyday use I wear Mac Mineralize Skinfinish. As for blushes it depends when I'm really dry I will use a cream blush but powder blush usually works fine for me :)
