I have a hard time with this too! a lot of colors end up looking like the same shade on me because of my darker skin. especially neutrals "/

Try an olive/emerald green. they would look beautiful with both brown eyes and a darker colouring. remember to use a white base to make the colour more vibrant.

@ hannah, maybe thats my problem because I never use a base.

You can try something like the MILK jumbo eye pencil, it'll brighten up your eye and make the colors really show

Eyeshadows with gold hints look amazing with darker skin...Also colors like copper, navy blue, bronze...For a bolder look colors like tangerine, plum, light blue look great too...Darker skin tones can also carry off shimmery silver/bronze colors better than other skin tones...Always use a primer or a base to make eyeshadows last longer...Most of the Maybelline color tats are great eyeshadow bases...You have a lot of options Amber...gud luck :)

Try blues, different shades of red, golden, purple... and don't be afraid to use light and bright colors- they look really good and make the eye pop :)

MAC's sumptuous olive, humid (both greens); aquadisiac, shimmermoss, steamy(blue-greens); electric eel, fresh water (blues); cranberry, hepcat. These are staple eyeshadows for myself...LOVE them. As you can see I'm brown myself. I suggest you check their site to get an idea of how they look. Good luck.
