It seems my nail polish NEVER wants to dry, even with a quick dry top coat. What am I doing wrong? Please help!!

All OPI polishes I have ever bought dry great and incredibly fast. My Barry M polishes remain thick and goopy for hours :(

Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri polishes are great!

if you apply a very thin first layer of polish it will dry fast. keep repeating until you get the initial shade desired :)
also make sure your polish is not old!

Some polishes just don't work with peoples body chemistry. If OPI isn't drying on you then this might be the problem.
Have you tried Seche Vite as a top coat? this makes my nails dry super fast.
I'd be giving a coat of seche or out the door top coat a go before I ditched those opi's.

If you are having the same problem with all the polishes you have tried my guess is that you are applying it too thick. The thinner you apply the polish the faster it will dry. You may have to apply more coats but it should still dry much quicker than when you apply thick coats.

Often times it depends on the base of the polish and how fast it dries. Jelly or Gel based polishes dry faster than creams, and of course glitters dry the fastest. If you're looking for a specific brand I suggest the Sally Hansen Insta-dri, Wet n Wild and Essence which is found at Ulta Beauty.

Use Seche Vite or Poshe Top Coat! Literally rock hard within an hour, dry to the touch in a few minutes. I obsessively paint my nails and I would be lost without it!
