I usually put my hair in a high bun and continue to put elastics in it in different places. Then I deconstruct it by pinching and tousling my hair.

You can buy a hair donut from Amazon for about $0.68. Then you just put your hair in a ponytail, slide your ponytail through the hair donut, wrap the hair around it, and pin it. Super easy.
